Appeal

Dear brothers and sisters,

India has been the cradle of civilization from immemorial times and was the richest and most advanced nation in the world for thousands of years.  We have to regain that position once again for our motherland.  More than the conquerors from outside, it was the social divisions of castes and religious groupings and geographical segmentations, which made India go down before the world.  Through social integration and economic advancement we can regain our position as the number one nation in the world.

Bahujan Samaj Party is in alliance with the people, with sarvajana hitaya – sarvajana sukhayaas our guiding principle, to unite the whole population of India for social progress and economic development. Let us join hands to lead the whole world towards peaceful co-existence and sustainable development.

The anti-people and anti-national policies of the UPA Government, at the national level, and its ally DMK, at the state level, have made people more impoverished and helpless.  Rise of fundamentalist forces, lack of employment generation, continuing poverty and inflation, attack on minorities, want of flood control, water availability and other measures to meet natural calamities, etc., have made people despondent. There has to be a way out of this mess. BSP will show you the way to peaceful progress through sustainable development with equal opportunity for all to share the fruits of development equitably.

BSP promises to repair the damages perpetrated by the mainstream parties during the last six decades.  Reservations for job and education will be extended to the private sector institutions and the poor sections of the upper caste communities will also get reservation benefits.  India’s derailed foreign policy will be put back on the tracks by revoking the Indo-US nuclear deal.  The farmers will get a better deal and neglected segments like the women and the SC/ST will get all help to enjoy the benefits of progress and development.  Justice, laws and duties, as envisaged in the constitution, will be universally binding on all citizens, allowing nobody to escape the laws of the land and justice.

Candidates have been chosen from all the segments of the community, caste-wise and religion-wise, so that the society as a whole will be represented in the highest law-making body of the nation.

I request all the discerning voters  of Kerala to cast their votes for a casteless society in which there will be equal opportunity for all and equitable sharing of the fruits of progress by all citizens without the distinctions of caste, creed, sex, wealth or power. Vote for people’s alliance for paving the way for real transfer of power to the people and vote for good governance.

Your loving Bahen,

Kumari Mayawati
